How To Align Your Cabinet Doors

Misaligned cabinet doors can diminish the overall appeal and functionality of your kitchen or bathroom. With just a Phillips screwdriver and a few simple steps, you can achieve perfect alignment in no time.

Why Should I Adjust My Cabinets?

Cabinet door alignment adjustments are a normal and necessary part of maintaining a beautiful and functional kitchen or bathroom. During shipping and installation, slight shifts can occur due to the natural movement of materials or the weight of the cabinets being mounted. Even environmental factors like humidity and temperature changes can cause doors to settle differently over time. These adjustments are quick and straightforward, ensuring that your cabinetry continues to operate smoothly and look its best for years to come.

Understand Your Hinges.

Our cabinet hinges allow for three types of adjustments:

  • Height: Adjusts the door up or down.
  • Side-to-Side: Moves the door left or right for proper spacing.
  • Depth: Brings the door closer to or farther from the cabinet frame.

Side-to-Side Adjustment

Rotate the front screw on the hinge to align the door horizontally. This ensures even spacing between doors.

Height Adjustment

Loosen the top inner screw on the hinges, adjust the door to the desired height, and re-tighten the screws to secure the door in place.

Depth Adjustment

Turn the back screw to bring the door forward or push it back, ensuring it sits flush with the cabinet frame.

Test and Fine-Tune

Open and close the door to ensure smooth operation and alignment. Make minor adjustments as needed.
