Newport Deep Onyx full overlay doors and drawer fronts are constructed from premium quality Medium Density Fiberboard, also known as 'MDF'. This engineered wood material has similar characteristic to hardwood, but can be profiled more precisely and is much more structurally stable. This means there is less chance of door components moving, due to changes in temperature or humidity, which reduces the risk of cracks appearing in the durable painted finish.
Newport Deep Onyx cabinet boxes feature a painted solid hardwood face-frame and All Plywood Construction, including 3/4" thick plywood adjustable shelves and solid hardwood dovetail drawers.
